David Gordon

David Gordon is Director and Company Secretary of Cedar Nursery. He is a secondary school science and physics teacher having previously worked as an IT Project Manager for a number of blue-chip organisations in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has always maintained an interest in the care and welfare of children however and served as a Childrens' Panel member in the East Dunbartonshire local authority area between 1997 and 2005.

David's role within Cedar Nursery focuses more on the business side, but he is able to contribute elements from his science background into the Cedar curriculum. He also provides input by way of seminars to parents on Curriculum For Excellence and the use of technology in communicating with customers.

In common with all Cedar staff, David has full Enhanced Disclosure checking (with both East Dunbartonshire Council and North Lanarkshire Council) and in addition is fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

He holds an Honours Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Strathclyde.
